But this hatred and opposition for the Islamic principles are not new, it existed right from the times of Huzur(peace be upon him), it took only different form and terminology.
Hater of Islam may be named as MisoIslamist. It means one who hate Islam even without any reasons.
MisoIslamist can be broadly categorised in two groups- Ignorant & Deliberate
Ahle-Jahalat(people under ignorance) are opposing because they are not able to see the truth and don't realize their stupidity in worshipping multiple gods and their idols. These people believed genuinly in their false gods or no god and hence wanted to continue the form & nature of worship/customs as their forefather were doing.
Another group was comprised of the people who genuinely hated every thing related to Islam. But their hatred were not due to any ideological stand rather due to personal, social, economical considerations. They knew in bottom of their heart that they are wrong but due to nationalist, cultural, social, personal and most impotantantly economic consideration they continue to hide truth and could not muster the courage to overcome these consideration.
Omar were opposing the Islam because he was in state of ignorance. But once he got exposed to light of Quran, his ignorance evaporated and he came in to fold of Islam.
Khalid bin Walid was opposing Islam due to social & personal consideration.He didn't have any specific attachment to ideology of polyethiesm. But once he muster the courage to overcome this he came to the side of Islam. Guidance is from Allah only.
Some Quraish leaders were opposing Islam because they thought that it would ruin Mecca economically. Each tribe had an idol in Kaba, where they visited every year. They feared that if they start professing monoethiesm it'd reduce the status of Kaba as religous centre hence fewer tribes would be attracted to Mecca and that would result in less business.
The first group do what they believe in. They constantly seeking truth. If truth is revealved to them they readily accept no matter how big price they have to pay of it. It's worth to put before argument & persuasion till they realize truth.They fight for what they beleive.
It is almost impossible to argue with second group(deliberate). Because they 'd deliberately conceal the truth due to all consideration mentioned above. Unless Allah change their heart, and give courage to overcome these considerations they 'd not see truth. They become dumb,deaf & blind to truth.
Most of the people in modern times belonging to second category. Because they are not opposing Islam because they beleive in their religion. Some of them abuse,insult, redicule Islam because of their poor understanding of their own religion and ignorace of Islam. Some oppose religion per se.
Generally MisoIslamist have characteristics of both the groups.
